JAKARTA - The number of scams spread on social media platforms, especially on Whatsapp with Android Package Kit (APK) mode, does not slightly make people more careful in downloading things.

Last year, there was a fraud mode that was almost similar to the APK mode of wedding invitations. But the difference is, this mode is mentioned, sent via Voice Note (VN) on Whatsapp.

"It turns out to be a Voice Note. Now the scam...apk is getting more sophisticated. Disguising is a voice note, but it's actually not a voice note! If the right arrow-to-right voice note (as PLAY) If in this photo the arrow marks down (for Download), if clicked, it will be installed and infect smartphones," wrote a broadcast message on Whatsapp.

Responding to this issue, cybersecurity expert Alfons Tanujaya said that there was nothing to worry about with the VN's shipment. Because according to him, the arrow marks down are an automatic system of Whatsapp so as not to automatically download something.

"The downward panah actually has a setting from Whatsapp to not automatically download links, so the arrows go down, we click, we download. If the arrow goes to the right it's the media. So it has nothing to do with it," said Alfons in his upload on Instagram.

However, if you have downloaded the VN file, Alfons also confirmed that nothing will happen to your personal data. Because the file will become an OGG, or an Ogg Vorbis compressed audio file used to store audio data.

"If APK becomes OGG, it becomes a voice note, it can't be run. Why? Because the Android system will automatically run the APK file with a media player, so it will be an error, so you don't have to worry too much," he said.
