Attending MWC 2024, Minister Of Communication And Information Budi Hopes Indonesia Can Participate Next Year

Attending Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 at Barcelona, Spain, Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi hopes that Indonesia can participate in the world annual trade show.

"We have discussed with several Director Generals. We hope that Indonesia can participate in next year's MWC event. We plan to have an Indonesian booth next year," Budi said in a statement quoted Wednesday, February 28.

Because according to Budi, the technological advances exhibited at the 2024 MWC event have an important meaning for digital transformation in Indonesia. Therefore, he hopes that the Indonesian government can participate in it.

Furthermore, the Minister of Communication and Information also said that the sophistication of technology exhibited at MWC 2024 shows promising digital infrastructure investment that has a great opportunity to be implemented in Indonesia.

There are so many interesting booths, including investment for digital infrastructure. A wide country like Indonesia needs adequate digital infrastructure to support the digitalization process in Indonesia," said Budi.

Kominfo's plan to open a special Indonesian booth in the upcoming 2025 MWC is also fully supported by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Spain Muhammad Najib.

"Actually, since last year we planned. I think after this Covid-19, especially with the Minister's extraordinary support, I am optimistic that next year we can participate," said Najib.
