Here's How To Use Temperature Sensors On Galaxy Watch

JAKARTA Samsung includes a temperature sensor in the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 6. This sensor can be used to determine the surface temperature of the skin while on activity or sleep.

To use this feature, users must first have the Samsung Health application. This application should already be on the Galaxy device. If not, install the application first on the Google Play Store.

After Samsung Health is downloaded, open the application and tap the Sleep menu. After that, click the vertical three-dot icon in the upper right corner and select Follow-up Measurement. Next, look for the Skin Temperature menu while Sleeping and click the tool button next to it.

In addition to checking skin temperature, the Galaxy Watch can be used to determine the surface temperature of the object or water temperature. Quoting from Makeuseof, this measurement requires other applications that can be downloaded on the Google Play Store, namely Thermo Check 365D.

Make sure to sync the application first before use. If you have, activate the Display feature Always Active and disable Power Savings and Sleep modes. Then, use your watch and dip your hands in the water.

After opening the Measure menu, click Check and wait for the feature to work. As long as the measurement is done, the user will see the temperature detected on the screen. To stop the measurement, click the physical button Back in the watch used.

Next, to measure surface temperature, open the Thermo Check application on the Galaxy Watch device, then open the Living menu. Select between One Time to get a single temperature readout or Several times to see changes in temperature.

After selecting the measurement option, select the surface type. Users can measure objects that are common in nature, metal, plastic, wood, and water surface. Close the watch to measure the temperature, then click Check.

Keep in mind that the reading of this temperature is inaccurate. The temperature measuring feature, especially for the skin, cannot check fever. If you are sick, use an original temperature measuring device and consult the temperature with a doctor.
