JAKARTA - The ruling party of Japan will propose that the government introduce a new law regulating generative artificial intelligence technology by 2024, the Nikkei business daily report said on Thursday, February 15.
To address issues surrounding artificial intelligence such as disinformation and rights abuses, the Liberal Democratic Democratic intelligence project team will draw up preliminary rules, including penal regulation, for the developer of Microsoft-backed basic artificial intelligence model OpenAI, said Nikkei.
