The Ranked Crossplay Test For Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition Will Start Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Iron Galaxy Studios released Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition last November. Now, developers are announcing that trial-ranked crossplay will be launched this weekend.

"Give it a break, the new rivals will come to you soon but with some important warnings, we want you to remember it before playing and give us input," the developer wrote in his announcement.

While you can play across platforms, the developer insists that the Ranking boards for Xbox/Windows and Steam will remain separate.

For example, if Steam players win over Xbox players, the Steam player will get points for the Board of Ranks on Steam, while the Xbox players will lose points for the Board of Ranks on Xbox.

Given that the games launched on these two platforms have passed performance tests that require 60 FPS before playing online, developers ensure that either players on Xbox or on PC will be able to run smoothly.

This test will later affect the developer's decision to add a ranked crossplay to the game or not in the next update.
