Apple Prepares Big Changes To IOS 19 & MacOS 16, Inspired By VisionOS

JAKARTA - Apple is rumored to be presenting the biggest design changes in recent years on its operating systems, iOS 19 and macOS 16, which will be announced at WWDC 2025.

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is redesigning the iOS, iPadOS, and macOS interfaces to make them more uniform on various devices. These changes will include icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons. This new design is reportedly inspired by the Vision Pro, the operating system used on the Apple Vision Pro.

For this project, Apple coded the name "Luck" for iOS 19 and iPadOS 19, while macOS 16 is called "Cheer". This macOS update is claimed to be the largest since macOS Big Sur in 2020, while iOS 19 will be the biggest change since iOS 7.

However, Apple maintains a separation between iPadOS and macOS, so users cannot expect the iPad to run macOS in the near future.

In addition to aesthetic changes, Apple is also said to be trying to improve the user experience as a whole. This move is predicted to aim to boost sales of Apple devices, which had spiked during the pandemic but slowed down in recent years.

WWDC 2025, which is likely to be held in June, is a major event for Apple to introduce this update. In addition, attention is also focused on Apple Intelligence and Siri's update, which previously canceled its attendance at iOS 18.4. It is not clear whether the smarter Siri will be present on iOS 19, or it will be postponed longer.

With this big change, Apple is trying to bring a more integrated experience throughout its ecosystem, as well as attracting user interest in its products.
