JAKARTA - Jennie shared her views on what BLACKPINK has done, since their 2016 debut - then the members have their respective solo careers - and will make a comeback this year.

In her latest interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Jennie said BLACKPINK had left its own legacy to the industry, calling what would be done a cultural movement.

"This is not just our next music comeback. We are absolutely sure that we are making a cultural movement with what we are doing," said Jennie.

"We want to leave a great track for history in the best possible way possible. It is important for all of us to understand that responsibility, in my opinion," he continued.

The BLACKPINK member who just released the album Ruby added that the responsibility felt by the group grew after they began to be independent and would reunite to make music and tour together at the end of this year.

"Separating then returning as a group and even agreeing to something like that, and I don't know if people understand, this is a very big decision for (every] member," said the 29-year-old singer.

"We made it through and I'm also excited for what will happen next for BLACKPINK," he added.

As is known, Jennie has attracted the attention of world listeners through her latest album. This album contains 15 tracks involving several collaborators, including Dua Lipa, Doechii, FKJ, Dominic Fike, Childish Gambino, and Kali Ichis.

In addition to Jennie, three other BLACKPINK members - Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo - have also released their respective solo albums.

Starting with Rosé launching the album 'rosie' with 12 tracks on December 6 last year, Jisoo continued with EP AMORTAGE with 4 tracks on February 14, and Lisa who launched the album Alter Ego with 15 tracks on February 28.
