JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, Nezar Patria, encourages the preparation of Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) to pay attention to the interests of the South-South State or South Global.

According to Nezar, countries in the Asia, Africa, and South Pacific regions are developing and growing, especially in the use of AI. Thus, a fairer approach is needed.

"So what we are trying to do is some kind of intervention (in the Global Forum on AI Ethics), because during the discussion we also saw quite good responses from various countries including America and China, both of which have a concern for AI development," explained Nezar.

Finally, the Deputy Minister of Communication and Information also stated that the Government of Indonesia appreciated the preparation of the Temporary Report on Global AI Governance by UNESCO, which was considered quite comprehensive.
