Theta Network Prepares New Technology For Videos And AI

JAKARTA - Theta Network, a decentralized platform for video distribution services and edge computing execution, announced its plans for 2024. One of the plans is to launch Theta EdgeCloud. This is a new technology that combines the advantages of edge and cloud computing. This technology is designed to support advanced applications in the fields of video, media, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Theta EdgeCloud is one of Theta Network's main goals to provide infrastructure that can handle the longest deep reality experience, as well as AI-based videos and other cutting-edge technologies. The technology will be rolling out in stages, with the first phase scheduled for the first half of 2024. In this phase, Theta will launch a hosted node in the cloud that can handle complex AI models and tasks.

Theta EdgeCloud is designed to balance low latency and expand the availability of edge computing and flexibility, scalability, and cost effectiveness of cloud infrastructure. By combining these two approaches models, Theta aims to create a powerful platform that can support the growing needs of technology and deliver a high-quality video experience for users.

Apart from EdgeCloud, Theta Network also plans to improve its services and features by 2024. Some of them are hosting a special event called Theta hackathon, a technology use show belonging to Theta. They will also implement the TNT20 staking, a feature that allows users to get rewarded for storing and staking their TNT20 token. In addition, Theta will work to improve Theta Video API to make it better in handling videos.

The Theta Network plan doesn't stop there. By 2025, they will launch EdgeCloud Phase 3, which will connect clients with edge nodes operated by community members. To make everything efficient, there will be an intelligent coordinator who directs tasks and charges to the right nodes.

Theta Network's plans for 2024 are part of efforts to advance the platform, although it can change along with technological developments. The plan focuses on improving technology capabilities with EdgeCloud while building an ecosystem through initiatives such as the upcoming hackathon.
