Year In Search 2023: Tracing On Google Throughout 2023

JAKARTA - Google Indonesia has again announced Year in Search 2023 which shares various moments and trends throughout 2023 based on searches conducted by people in Indonesia.

Slightly different from the previous year which had 9 categories, this year Google announced 8 categories of trends announced, including Why, What, Who, Song Lyrics, Recipes, Films/TV Series, News, Sports.

"Year in Search sees what topics are trending and attract the attention of the Indonesian people so far this year. And the results this year show that the Indonesian people are increasingly critical and observant in studying information, as well as being wiser in using technology to get maximum benefits," said Feliciana Wienathan, Communication Manager, Google Indonesia in its remarks.

This year, a search around the U-17 World Cup schedule, the 'Indonesian National Team' and 'What is the Asean Summit' is a topic that is in great demand by the public in an effort to support the success of various High Level Conference (KTT) events.

In addition, public interest in technology has also increased, especially regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI), this can be seen from the increasing search around AI and 'Bard'.

The increasing concern of the Indonesian people for health is always seen from year to year. This is evident where the search for 'Pound fit', crossfit', matras what is suitable for yoga' and what is ISPA' is a topic that users often explore in Google search engines.

From the culinary side, the mukbang content in the style of Rafael Tan seems to have inspired the audience's taste a lot, so the keyword Rafael's moral prescription' is one of the top search topics.
