Ahead Of The Election Year, TikTok Maintains The Flow Of Information With Opponents Of Disinformation

Despite the importance of mutual cooperation in dealing with disinformation, TikTok still has its own way of moderating bad content on its platform. Faris said that TikTok has Community Guidelines as a reference for violations.

"If we find the violations we feel or for example are not in accordance with existing regulations in Indonesia, then users' friends can report directly on the TikTok application," Faris said on Thursday, December 14.

TikTok is also working with the government through the launch of the Election Guide Center for TikTok Indonesia on November 28. In this guide, users can find out how to report content that violates election provisions.

Not only from the government side, TikTok is also working with fact-checking abroad and domestically. At the regional level, TikTok is a partner of AFP, while at the local level, TikTok is in partnership with MAFINDO and PERLUDEM.
