VIDA Introduces VIDA Sign, Certified Digital Signature Solution

JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Digital Identity (VIDA) introduced VIDA Sign, the latest certified digital signature solution, which is registered and under the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo).

Thus, as an Electronic Certification Operator (PSRE) or Certification Authority (CA) registered under Kominfo, VIDA has the authority to issue electronic certificates for the need for secure and legally recognized digital signatures in 40 countries.

"Allow me to be able to introduce VIDA Sign to all of my friends, as proof of our contribution to the digital economy landscape and digital transactions in Indonesia," said Sita Rasuanto, Co-founder & President of VIDA at a press conference on Tuesday, December 12 in Jakarta.

Sita added that the launch of VIDA Sign will not only offer secure, easy, and effective digital signature solutions, but will also ensure document integrity for each industry.

Teguh Arifiyadi, Director of Information Application Control of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information, revealed that Kominfo received more than 100 thousand fraud reports in the form of pdf document files over the past year.

The current document is that the pdf document has its signature. Many people think that it's a digital signature. In fact, if there is a pdf document with a signature in it, it's not an electronic signature, but an electronic signature," said Teguh.

Therefore, the security and authenticity of the document needs to be given electronic certification, this right has also been regulated in the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE).

"That's why Kominfo provides full support to all digital organizers, especially VIDA, because we do see that in the future one of the important instruments for document legality is the digital signature user earlier," he concluded

VIDA Sign can now be accessed through websites and smartphone applications through the Google Play Store and App Store.
