GoPay Becomes Favorite Application, Wins Three Best Of 2023 Awards From Google Play

JAKARTA - There are many applications available on the Google Play Store, ranging from m-banking applications, games, health applications, and so on. According to data from Statista, from 2009 to 2023, the play store has 2.59 million applications.

This year, Google Play's Best of 2023 features many trends and evolutions in society ranging from Essential Apps, Hidden Gems, Apps for Good, to the latest additional categories:Best with AI.

Google says in its blog that in Indonesia, 2023 is the year that app developers dare to face big challenges and creatively offer technology-based solutions, rethinking how they can contribute to society.

"Google Play allows app developers of all scales from anywhere in Indonesia to build successful businesses by empowering them to create interesting and high-quality experiences for billions of Android users in Indonesia and around the world," said Google Play Director for Southeast Asia and Australia, Kunal Soni, quoted Sunday, December 10.

In addition, Soni said that the open ecosystem of Google Play has also generated revenues of IDR 1.5 trillion for local developers in 2022.

In Indonesia, the GoPay application from GoTo Financial, GoTo's financial technology business, managed to wipe out 3 of the 12 categories ofBest of 2023Google Play as an application for the Most App, User's Choice App, and the Most Everyday Essentials.
