JAKARTA - Kaspersky's latest study shows that more than three-quarters (77 percent) of companies in Asia Pacific (APAC) have experienced at least one cyber incident in the last two years.
Then, some say the main reason for cyber incidents in their companies is the lack of adequate equipment to detect threats (20 percent) and the lack of internal IT security staff (24 percent).
"Business in Asia Pacific has struggled with the shortage of local cybersecurity professionals over the years. In fact, by 2022, it was reported that the region needed more than 2.1 million security staff to meet these needs," Adrian Hia, Managing Director of Asia Pacific at Kaspersky in a statement received.
