Following Spotify, YouTube Also Launches Recap 2023

JAKARTA - Following Spotify, YouTube has also started launching Recap 2023 for music fans, through the YouTube Music application. Not only that, Recap 2023 also comes with a series of new features.

Through Recap 2023 on YouTube Music, you can see personalized statistics, ranging from top artists, songs, moods, genres, albums, playlists, and more, from what you've been listening to this year.

"In addition to bringing this experience to the YouTube app, we're also rolling out some new features to help you revive your year with music," YouTube wrote in its announcement.

The first is Custom Album Art, a feature that lets you create your own album, based on your top song, energy score, and best mood this year. You can customize your color, vibration, and visual, according to your own wishes.

In addition, you can also travel through your feelings with a new Recap 2023 feature, which matches your mood with your top songs throughout the year.

Next year, last year, YouTube introduced a shareable card highlighting your top songs and customized by adding images, directly from Google Photos on the YouTube Music app.

Now with Recap 2023, you can fuss and customize these photos to create unique visuals to celebrate your year. Starting today, music fans can open the 2023 Recap page on the YouTube Music app.
