"The most interesting for me about System Era is cultural and strategic suitability with Devolver. This is a very experienced and talented group of developers who come with proven success, Astroneer, in the eighth year," said Douglas Morin, CEO of Devolver Digital in an official broadcast on Wednesday, November 1.
Morin also hopes that in the future, they can bring pleasure to new players in a new and innovative way - and most importantly welcome the team to Devolver.
Most importantly, Devolver said that this acquisition is a strategic opportunity for them to expand their core power in premium indie games, by leveraging System Era's knowledge of game style development as well as existing direct operating technology and IP.
"Devolvers will take advantage of System Era development expertise in creating quality titles, community-centric, and long-lived," he added.

"Devolvers and System Era have long admired each other. We have always seen Devolver banners as a sign of quality, but they also represent an approach to developing and publishing unique games in the industry," commented Brendan Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of System Era.
"We are very happy to be joining the confederation of people who think the same way," he said.
