JAKARTA - WhatsApp is now reportedly working on a message search feature based on a new date, to make it easier for users to search for messages on a specific date.

Found for the first time by WABetainfo, this feature seems to be still in the process of being developed and WhatsApp plans to release it for web clients to several users in the future.

Like screenshots also shared, this new feature shows a new calendar button that allows users to select a specific date to find all messages sent on that date.

This feature was released on the WhatsApp beta update for iOS 22.24.0.77, and it appears that Meta is also planning to bring the same feature to web clients in the future.

The message search feature based on a medium date is under development and will be released on WhatsApp Web updates in the future. You may still have to wait a few weeks or months in advance.

Previously, in early October, Meta was also reportedly testing a message feature embedded on WhatsApp, via a WhatsApp beta update for its latest version of Android which is 2.23.21.4.

In addition, another news from Meta, Meta, has now launched the Sharing to Reel feature on Instagram for all app developers.

This feature makes it easier for users to share video content directly to Instagram Reel from other applications including Smule, Videoleap, Reface, VivaVideo, SNOW, B612, VITA, and Zoomerang.
