Furthermore, Galyonkin said that Epic is now heading in a new direction to turn itself into an industrial platform, and he no longer feels suitable for this new version of Epic.

"Now, Epic Games is on its way to transform from game developer, machine maker and publisher to a Epic 5.0 platform. I'm not suitable for this new version of Epic, it requires people of different types," he added.

Nonetheless, Galyonkin plans to stay in the game industry, and hopes to be more vocal. "Now because I don't have to worry the PR department will knock on my DM," he said.

In his message, Galyonkin also talked about his work at Fortnite, as well as Epic Games Store, which is challenging in game distribution by dividing the proceeds 88/12. At the same time, he also highlighted Epic's donation to charity bodies in Ukraine in early 2022.

Last week, Epic Games reportedly laid off 16 percent of its workforce, meaning around 830 employees. However, Epic said that continued development of the title multiplayer remains a "corporate priority".
