Apple will hold a massive event on September 12, 2023 to announce the latest iPhone 15, Apple Watch, and other products. The following is information about when and how you can watch the event, as well as estimates of new product announcements from Apple.

When IPhone 15 Event?

The iPhone 15 event will take place on September 12, 2023, at 1PM ET (12.00 AM WIB). As seen in the invitation sent by Apple, the event is named "Wonderlust." The event will be held live at Apple Park, Cupertino, California.

How To Watch Apple's IPhone 15 Event

Like previous events, Apple is likely to broadcast the iPhone 15 event through its website and YouTube channel. You can also watch it via live broadcast.

iPhone 15 with Port USB-C

One of the biggest changes to this year's iPhone line is the addition of a USB-C port. For the first time, the iPhone 15 is expected to be equipped with this widely used port, not Apple's Lightning connector. This is not surprising, as Apple confirmed last year that it would make changes to USB-C to comply with the upcoming new EU regulations.

Although reports suggest that all iPhone 15 models will have USB-C ports, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that only Pro and Pro Max will get higher data transfer speeds.

According to Kuo, these two premium models will be equipped with at least USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3, while the basic iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will support USB 2.0. However, all iPhone 15 models should have faster charging speeds, namely 35W, thanks to this change.

Other Changes To The Latest IPhone 15 And Apple Watch

Apple is also expected to announce updates on the Apple Watch and AirPods Pro lines. These include the Apple Watch Series 9 with an updated S9 processor and the AirPods Pro with a USB-C-based charging casing. Other rumors report that Apple will also release a pair of cheaper AirPods for 99 US dollars (IDR 1.5 million).

Of course, we can also expect more information about new operating systems, such as iOS 17 and watchOS 10, as well as macOS Sonoma. However, the launch of iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma may be delayed until next fall, following Apple's recent launch pattern.
