The platform is determined based on revenue and the number of users, they will be required to comply with a number of interoperability and competition rules starting March 2024.

If the gatekeeper does not comply with the obligations listed in the DMA, the European Commission could impose fines of up to 10 percent of the total turnover of companies around the world, which could reach 20 percent in the event of repeated violations.
