JAKARTA - On Tuesday, September 5, the Alliance of Independent Journalists or AJI Indonesia officially stated that their Instagram account, @aji.indonesia, had been hacked at around 11.00 WIB.

Based on VOI monitoring at 15.30 WIB, the hacker uploaded a number of gadget advertisements, especially the iPhone through the account.

Responding to this incident, Sasmito, Chairman of AJI Indonesia in their official statement said that they had made efforts to restore AJI's account.

"AJI Indonesia has tried to take a number of steps, including communicating with Meta to restore the account," said Sasmito.

Until this article was created, the account was still controlled by other parties and continued to upload information on the sale of cellphones. In addition, hackers also deleted all the stories on the @aji.indonesia account and replaced them with information on the sale of cellphones.

Because it has not been restored, AJI Indonesia urges netizens to ignore the content circulating on AJI Indonesia's Instagram so that economic or other losses do not arise.

"AJI Indonesia is also trying to identify this attack related to AJI's work or not. This is because digital attacks on AJI have continued to emerge in the last two months, one of which is on AJI's official website," he concluded.
