JAKARTA - Credit Suisse, an investment bank based in Zurich, has announced a partnership with the Swiss Football Association to launch an Ethereum-based NFT (Non-Fungible Token) collection. This collection aims to fund the development of women's football in Switzerland and consists of 756 NFT pieces.

Credit Suisse, in a release published on their website, stated that 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to senior women's national team players as well as projects supporting talented young female footballers. The collection will consist of portraits of players of the Swiss women's national football team.

The NFT sales process will begin on July 11 and last until August 31. In order to purchase this NFT, users must use the CSX Credit Suisse application which is exclusively available.

Daniel Gorrera, Swiss head of digital assets at Credit Suisse, said they wanted to make it easier for users to engage in the emerging world of NFTs. He also emphasized that this project paved the way for the innovative use of digital assets in new types of financing models and services. Credit Suisse, as a regulated issuer, is seen as well positioned in this space.

Sandra Caviezel, head of partnerships and sponsorship at Credit Suisse, stated that the funds raised will provide direct support to the women's national team and also be used for girls' soccer projects. It aims to promote young talent in the field of football.

This NFT collection is divided into three levels, namely "unique", "rare" and "limited". NFT prices vary from 150 to 10.000 Swiss francs (around IDR 2.5 million to IDR 167 million). The "unique" tiers consist of 11 NFTs, one for each major national team player, priced at 10.000 Swiss francs. The "rare" collection consists of 55 NFT pieces, each priced at 3.500 Swiss francs (equivalent to Rp. 58 million). Meanwhile, the "limited" collection consists of 690 NFT items, each priced at 150 Swiss francs (IDR 2.5 million).

This NFT is minted on the Ethereum blockchain and is based on a physical artwork by Swiss artist Daniela Filippelli. Credit Suisse states that fans who wish to buy NFTs do not need to have an external crypto wallet. Purchases can be made through the bank's CSX application, which will store tokens. Payments will only be accepted in Swiss francs via direct account debit.

In addition to NFT holdings, holders will also get additional benefits such as physical artwork, autographed team jerseys, and entry to exclusive team events, depending on the NFT level held.

By launching this NFT collection, Credit Suisse hopes to make a significant contribution to the development of women's football in Switzerland and raise awareness of the potential of talented young women footballers.
