WhatsApp Trial Status Archive Features For Business Users

JAKARTA - WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new feature dubbed Archive Status or Archive Status to beta Business testers for Android.

The Status Archives Feature can work when WhatsApp Business users want to re-sharing their old status updates with customers.

According to screenshots shared by WABetaInfo, users will receive notification banners in the Status section.

Once enabled, the device will automatically archive a status update after a 24-hour period, and can be saved on their device for up to 30 days after sharing.

Users also have the ability to customize archival preferences and are easy to access directly from the menu in the Status tab.

It should be noted that the archive is private, meaning that only users can view it. Currently, the Status Archives feature is available on build v2.23.11.15 and will be available to wider users in the coming weeks, as quoted by Indian Express, Wednesday, May 31.

The Meta-owned messaging app will also launch a feature for Windows users, which is now only available on the WhatsApp beta channel v2.2320.1.0.

Where they can change the application language separately from the system language. Language change options can be found in the settings menu.

For information, WhatsApp will also bring the Share Screen feature for Android users. This feature will later record and display user screen content with anyone in the video call.

To use the feature, select a new option with the phone icon and the arrow out, after which a permission request will appear to share the screen with users in video calls, then click from now on.

WhatsApp will have access to anything displayed on the user's screen. This Screen Sharing feature is quite helpful when the user wants to discuss some important slides or documents via WhatsApp video calls.
