These Applications Will Be Useful In An Emergency

Circle of 6

This app won the White House and HHS “Apps Against Abuse” Technology Challenge in 2011. This app allows users to add up to six important people to join the circle.

Users can send alerts in the form of SMS which are pre-programmed into the circle. The app also includes a GPS map to show the user's location when the message was sent.

For safety and information, Circle of 6 also connects users to a 24-hour hotline. However, this free application is only available for iOS users.

bSafe

The application offered by the US Mobile Software was created in an effort to reduce the rate of rape and sexual harassment. Through this application, users can ask someone to "follow" and pay attention to the user while traveling through the map.

The user can send an alarm signal when danger is approaching and the receiver of the signal will know where the user is. When the SOS button has been activated with an alarm, the user does not need to press the button.

Even when the phone is in your pocket or bag, the signal receiver can see and hear everything that is happening through live streaming.

Audio and video are recorded automatically and sent directly to the two connected devices.

The bSafe app also has additional features like fake call which can help users get out of threatening situations. For those who want to download this application, you can open the Google Play Store or the App Store.

Red Panic Button

When in danger, the user can press the Red Panic Button. Users simply set a phone number or email address that will receive a message containing the user's accurate location based on GPS.

Because it is equipped with an emergency number feature, users can also set the emergency number that is called when pressing the Red Panic Button. Numbers can also be set from application settings. Apart from that, users will get a voice recording feature which can send recordings to a set e-mail list.

The application that Ultimate Communication Software LTD offers can be downloaded on the Google Play Store and App Store, but for some features such as integration into Apple Watch or adding an unlimited number of contacts, users must pay.
