Cognex Launches In-Sight 3800 Vision System For Fast And Accurate AI-Based Inspection System

JAKARTA - Cognex Corporation (NASDAQ: CGNX), the market leader of the US-based machine vision industry (visual engine), has launched the In-Sightmen 3800 Vision System.

Designed for high-speed production lines, In-Sight 3800 offers a variety of inspection programs, strong image imaging capabilities, and flexible software to provide fully integrated solutions for various inspection checking applications.

"In-Sight 3800 offers a two-fold processing speed from the previous system, performing tasks such as quality checks in just a third of the eyes," said Lavanya Manohar, Vice President of Vision Products, Cognex, in a statement, Saturday, May 6.

"This additional capability allows users to maximize throughput and accommodate faster paths while providing high accuracy according to expectations for the In-Sight product line," he added.

This new system contains a comprehensive set of visual tools that include Artificial Intelligence-Based Edge Learning (AI) technology and standard regulatory-based algorithms. Easy-to-use edge learning tools can complete tasks with high variability and can be prepared in just a few minutes with just a few training images.

The proven regulatory-based tools in the industry are perfect for completing deterministic tasks with certain parameters. Customers have started using In-Sight 3800 with positive results.

"When we opted for Cognex, we assumed that the In-Sight 3800 processing time would be 30 percent faster than the In-Sight 7900 vision system currently in use," said Nicolas Chomel, Director of Technology Development at SIDEL, provider of equipment, services, and complete solutions for the packaging of leading consumer products.

"However, during the qualification test, In-Sight 3800 was proven to be 50 percent faster in our application," he added.

In-Sight 3800 is powered by the In-Sight Vision Suite software, a common platform in all In-Sight products, which offers Easy Builder total and Spreadsheets. Intuitive Easy Builder interfaces guide step-by-step users through development processes, making them ideal for simple or general applications, while powerful spreadsheet interfaces allow for improvement of work parameters for advanced or highly customized applications.

"A flexible development option allows users to easily modify their applications to new demands. Thus, In-Sight 3800 offers measurable solutions to meet the current and future automation needs of factories," concluded Manohar.
