Meta Launches New Reply Button In WhatsApp Call Notification

JAKARTA - Meta is rolling out an update for the latest version of WhatsApp beta Android users or 2.23.9.16, where when you receive a call notification, you will see a new reply button between the Rejection and Answer (Answer) button.

First reported by WABetainfo, this new feature allows you to easily turn down calls while sending certain messages to the caller, simultaneously.

Fortunately, VOI had the opportunity to see this update. Based on our observations, this Reply is in the middle of the Reply button and Reject. These three buttons will appear on your phone's floating notifications, when you receive incoming calls.

So, when the user receives a call notification on WhatsApp, you will now see three buttons, namely the "retaliatory" button, "reject" and "answer".

If the user chooses to tap the reply button, the incoming call will be rejected, and the message box will open automatically, allowing the user to send a quick message to the caller.

From there, you can explain the reason for not being able to answer the call or set a better time to talk.

This feature allows you to communicate quickly and easily with a caller without having to answer the call first or having to manually open the app.

This feature is also very useful for situations where users may not be able to answer calls because they are in a meeting, but they still want to acknowledge the call and notify the caller that they will respond as soon as possible.

The reply button in the call notification is available to some beta testers who are installing the latest WhatsApp beta updates for Android from the Play Store, and will roll out to more people in the coming days.
