Playing for the First Time, Valorant National Team Roster at the 2023 SEA Games is Full of Stars

JAKARTA - The 2023 SEA Games for Southeast Asian countries will take place in Cambodia soon. As the parent organization for esports in Indonesia, the Indonesian Esports Council (PBESI) has announced the list of athletes who will compete later.

Meanwhile, Indonesia itself will send athletes for six esports events at the 2023 SEA Games. PBESI has also revealed several lists of athletes such as MLBB Men and Women, who will represent Indonesia to bring home gold.

Not only that, but PBESI has also announced the list of selected athletes for the Valorant PC competition in Cambodia. The athletes are Delbert Tanoto (@ae.delb), Sheldon Andersen Chandra (@btr_ncslasher), Kevin Gunawan (@eeyorevlr), Oliver Budi Wangge (@btr_m0rea), Nanda Rizana (@asteriskk6), Bryan Carlos Setiawan (@ae.kushh), and Willy Ivandra (@btr.sayoo).

Even though Valorant is a new number sent by Indonesia for esports in the SEA Games, under coach Baskoro “Roseau” Dwi Putra, assisted by two assistants, namely Iqbal Mauldhan Yusup and Muhammad Rafi Diandra, it seems that they will not be afraid of their opponents, considering that the Valorant roster is filled with the young stars, who have competed to defend their respective teams.

Of the seven professional Valorant Indonesia athletes, the national team roster this time includes three Bigetron Arctic players, such as NcSlasher, M0rea, and Sayoo. There are also two players from Alter Ego such as DelB, and Kush.

In addition, according to reports from various sources, the other two athletes, namely Asteriskk and Eeyore, are an Indonesian FPS veteran duo who have experience and achievements at the Southeast Asian level for FPS games.

Eeyore has been on the esports scene for three years, in 2020 to be precise. Since then, he has made several achievements including VCT 2021: Indonesia Stage 3 Challengers 3 and runner-up VCT 2022: Indonesia Stage 1 Challengers.

Currently, Eeyore and Asteriskkk are free agents or no longer tied to any esports team, and the two of them will return to playing on the competitive stage to bring home gold for the country.
