Google Chrome Launches New Features to Make It Easier for Users to Shop Online

JAKARTA - Google Chrome has launched several new features that make it easier for users to shop online during the holiday season at the end of 2022.

"The holiday shopping season continues! Anyone still on the hunt will love learning about some of the new chrome features that can help you cross off the gift list," said Sam Birch, Product Manager, Chrome Shopping on the Google blog.

These features are Price Drop Notifications. Now, people in the US will receive an email or notification from chrome if there is a price offer.

You just need to click on "track price/track price" in chrome address bar and you can manage your tracked products via the side panel, or through the notifications you receive.

The next feature is instant discount notifications in the Google Store shopping cart. So, every time you add an item to your cart through the Google Store, when you open a new tab, you will see the number of discounts available right on the chrome interface.

The third feature it provides is the ability for Google Lens to find prices in the images you enter.

The last part is for Checkout, chrome will auto-fill everything with previously saved info, like your address or payment details from Google Pay.

We recently expanded the ability to save your payment info to your Google account in another 67 countries. You can always go to your Chrome settings under "autofill" to enter your preferred address and payment info.
