JAKARTA - Italy has finally officially become the latest country to be registered by Tesla in the Supercharger Non-Tesla Pilot program in Europe, which currently includes triple-digit station counts.
The Non-Tesla Supercharger Pilot Program launched in November 2021 and is continuing to expand to new locations and countries. To date, there have been 15 non-Tesla supercharger locations, including in Italy.
According to the company, this expansion is intended to support the company's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.
According to Elon Musk's electric car brand, having access to a broad, convenient, and reliable fast-charging network is critical to large-scale EV adoption.
Non-Tesla vehicles can now charge at select Superchargers in Italy via the Tesla app.

Tesla said that with this trial, some stations are now accessible to drivers of non-Tesla electric vehicles in select countries via the Tesla app (version 4.2.3 or higher).
"It has always been our ambition to open up the Supercharger network to non-Tesla electric vehicles, and in doing so, encourage more drivers to switch to electric", Tesla concluded.
