Google Presents Two New Features, You Can Directly Translate Foreign Language News to Local Language

JAKARTA - Google launched two new features that will help you understand the world from various perspectives, from ordinary people to official reporting.

The two features are Discussion and Forums and also the ability of Google Search to translate news into local languages.

Discussions and Forums

From now on, this new feature will appear as you search for something you might find useful from the various personal experiences found in online discussions.

Google mentions that Discussion and Forums will aggregate search results from discussion forums, including Reddit, Quora, and Edmunds.com in response to your search.

This feature is already rolling out to all English language users in the US. Google did not say for sure when this feature will be widely introduced, but certainly, the tech giant said it might update it in the future.

Local News Translator

Google also announced that it will soon introduce a way to translate news coverage directly from Search.

So, starting in 2023, Google will roll out this feature to translate news results in French, German, and Spanish into English on mobile and desktop.

"This feature connects readers looking for international news with relevant local coverage in other languages, giving them access to more complete field coverage and providing new global perspectives," Google wrote on its blog.

According to Google, these two new features will bring more perspective to your search, help you make the right choices, and learn more about what's happening around the world.
