JAKARTA - FLASH, a software-based parking company, launched a cloud-based electric vehicle (EV) charging solution, FLASHOS, on Monday, September 19.

The company says that this solution is tailor-made to meet the growing demand for urban electric vehicle charging and address infrastructure challenges.

The company wants to empower parking operators and asset owners to leverage the entire FLASH platform to turn their parking assets into true and dynamic mobility hubs.

“Parking and charging are the central anchors of mobility and essential for a seamless customer journey. However, urban EV charging requires a different solution,” said Ben Davee, EVP & General Manager, FLASH Electric Vehicle Charging Division.

Davee said they wanted to provide easy access, reliability, and a holistic integrated solution that addresses the changing needs of consumers, parking operators and property managers at the same time.

"And this is a smart solution that will grow as the demands of the mobility hub evolve as connected vehicles become autonomous," he said.

FLASH's proprietary EV charger focused on Level 2 EV charging, with support for complex and dynamic pricing capabilities to allow parking operators the flexibility needed to manage major traffic and off-peak hours.

With a seamlessly integrated digital solution, FLASHOS enables consumers to use parking applications, such as ParkWhiz or BestParking, to reserve space and chargers with guaranteed availability and functionality.

Currently, FLASH integrated EV charging solutions are operational in hundreds of spaces in major North American cities and are expected to rapidly expand in the more than 3 million spaces where FLASH software is currently installed.
