JAKARTA - The list of delayed releases of game titles continues. Now, it's Bomb Rush Cyberfunk from developer Team Reptile that has to be postponed.

In a tweet thread shared on Wednesday, August 31, the developers said that they still need time to make the game to its full potential.

"We believe that releasing the game this year will not bring it to a level where we would personally be satisfied," Team Reptile said on Twitter.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk was supposed to be released in 2022. However, the development team decided to postpone it until the summer of 2023, which is expected to fall in December - March.

"To create a satisfying and unique game, we extended Bomb Rush Cyberfunk's development time to summer 2023," he explained.

Launching Polygon, announced in 2020, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is a hidden love letter to Sega's iconic graffiti and skating series: Jet Set Radio 2000. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk focuses on tricks and grinding, and their frantic and funky soundtrack by Hideki Naganuma.

If released later, the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch, Windows PC via Steam, and possibly other platforms as well.
