JAKARTA - Truecaller, the world's leading global communications platform, today launched a new application for safe and secure private audio conversations, Open Doors.
After presenting Truecaller which can protect people in their digital lives and the free Guardians app for personal safety, the Swedish company True Software Scandinavia AB is now setting its sights on a new target, which is to create fun and instant global private conversations, including opening meaningful conversations. more widely between users in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian regions and even to various parts of the world.
Open Doors is a new application that allows secure global conversations in real time, and is a completely free application to use and is available globally on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. The app works seamlessly on both smartphone platforms.
"Thanks to Truecaller, who is 13 years in the business, we've spent a lot of time studying how people communicate. Our new app, Open Doors, was born out of a simple question: how can we help people make new connections without being intrusive? what we do is bridge the world using the most natural form of communication, which is our voice," said Nami Zarringhalam, Co-founder of True Software Scandinavia AB in a release received on Wednesday, July 13.
How Open Doors Work:
The way Open Doors works is very simple. If you are a Truecaller user, you can log in with just one tap. However, if you are not a Truecaller user, you must log in with your phone number which will then be verified using a missed call or OTP.
This app only requires two permissions, namely contacts (so you can share Open Doors or connect with people in your contacts who also have Open Doors) and phone permission (to be able to have audio conversations). Participants in the conversation cannot see each other's phone numbers.
As an Open Doors user, you are in complete control at all times. You can start or stop the conversation at will. Your friends can join the conversation when they get a notification or by clicking on the link you share.
When you start the app, the app's interface will be available in English, Indian, Spanish, Latin, and French, with more languages to be added later on as user requests.
Once your friends join the conversation, their friends will also be invited. Through network effects, you can immediately join a lot of people. Keep in mind that conversations are real-time and moderated by the community, just like Truecaller.

Conversations aren't recorded anywhere and neither can anyone listen without you knowing. The app expects participants to provide each other with a safe, inclusive and respectful environment during conversation.
"Based on user feedback, we will continue to innovate and add more features to Open Doors," the company wrote.
Some of the innovations under development by the small beta tester team are controls for setting up the closest circle of contacts (so that other people in your contacts who have Open Doors don't always get notified when you start a conversation) and controls for reacting to what people say and Precise control when the app notifies you of a new conversation.
