WhatsApp Will Launch More Emoji To Give Message Reactions

JAKARTA - Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has just announced on Facebook, that he will be releasing more emojis for 'emoji reactions' for Android, iOS and Desktop.

Last week, WhatsApp released an improved version of reaction messages to beta testers, allowing them to react using emojis of different skin tones.

Now Zuckerberg has revealed that he will be releasing more emoji for reaction messages on WhatsApp, than the six default emojis currently available.

"We're rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp," Zuckerberg wrote on Facebook.

However, according to VOI's monitoring, it seems that the emoji version in reaction to this message has not been comprehensive. Previously, to make sure if your WhatsApp has that emoji upgrade, it's best to see for yourself.

If you see a plus sign (+) next to an emoji when you want to react to a conversation, it means the feature is already available. But if not, you don't have to worry because Zuckerberg just confirmed the news, and it looks like you'll have to wait a bit.

The feature seems to still need some time before it rolls out widely. When it's ready to roll out, this feature will be available for WhatsApp on Android, iOS, and Desktop.

Reaction emoji was originally announced last month, where it came alongside several other improvements such as WhatsApp's ability to send files up to 2GB, WhatsApp Groups of up to 512 members, and more.
