JAKARTA - Last year, Google introduced Phone Hub, a built-in control center that lets you reply to text messages, check your phone's battery, enable tethering, and more, all from your Chromebook.

Further, Goohle announced on Thursday, June 23, several new Android and Chromebook features designed to help your phone and laptop work better together.

With the Phone Hub update, you now also have instant access to the most recent photos you've taken on your phone, even if you're offline.

After taking a picture on your phone, it will automatically appear in the Phone Hub on your laptop under “recent photos.” Just click on the image to download it, then it's ready to be added to a document or email," said Chrome OS software director Alexander Kuscher in Google.

This means that you no longer need an internet connection, or have to send it via email to share photos from your phone to your laptop.

You may already be using Nearby Share to share files, photos, or videos. Now, you can also use your Android phone and Nearby Share to securely connect your Chromebook to saved Wi-Fi networks.

Furthermore, Google says that Fast Pair, coming later this summer, will allow you to sync compatible headphones or other accessories to your Chromebook easier than ever.
