JAKARTA – Tether (USDT) in collaboration with the local government of the city of Lugano, Switzerland, is now opening a class that focuses on teaching blockchain and crypto. The program, called Plan Summer School, will start on July 3-16.

On Thursday 19 May, Tether and Lugano announced the launch of Plan Summer School aimed at “to bring blockchain and crypto education to society.”

Cointelegraph reports that the education center is part of the “Plan ” initiative. Tether with the Swiss city, which has covered the development of Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT) and the legal tender of LVGA tokens in the area.

According to a report on the official website planb.lugano.ch, the two-week program will run in July and feature speakers including Blockstream CEOs Adam Back and Tether and Bitfinex chief technical officer Paolo Ardoino. Topics include a basic introduction to stablecoins and cryptocurrencies as well as blockchain analysis and regulatory policies around digital assets.

“As adoption continues to drive participation in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, it is important for educational institutions to help better inform not only traders and investors but also future business owners who wish to apply this financial tool into their daily lives,” said Ardoino. .

Bitcoin Magazine reports that the school will be held in the Swiss city of Lugano. Students will study the Bitcoin protocol, the Lightning Network as a layer-2 solution, stablecoins, the consensus mechanisms used in cryptocurrencies, and the basics of cryptocurrencies.

The crypto and blockchain classes were organized with Franklin University Switzerland (FUS). It also has the support of the Università della Svizzera Italiana and the FUS' Taylor Institute. The school is aimed at providing young people with new skills needed in the digital asset industry.
