Snapdragon 8 Gen From Qualcomm Will Launch In May 2022, Fastest Chip In Its Class

JAKARTA - Qualcomm, one of the largest chip companies in the world, will announce their latest chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ in May 2022.

The rumor has been growing since Snapdragon Gen 1 was launched with claims that the chipset will be 4nm (nanometer).

Quoted from GSM Arena, Saturday, March 26, the rumor said that Snapdragon 8 gen 1+ will have better performance and will not quickly heat up gadgets.

It seems that the rumor is increasingly likely to materialize because several cellphone brands have revealed that they will use the latest chipset from Qualcomm.

As for the estimated product announcement in May 2022, it is also estimated that the chipset will be available one month later, to be precise in June 2022.

Some of the mobile phone brands included in the list include Lenovo, Motorola, OnePlus, and Xiaomi.

On the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 model, Qualcomm gave the model the serial number SM8450 but on the Snapdragon 8 gen 1+ it seems that the serial number that will be taken is SM8474.

In addition to the update from the 8th gen, Qualcomm is also rumored to be introducing the latest chipset from Snapdragon 7 in a more or less near future. Reportedly the two latest chips are currently in the trial period.
