JAKARTA - Last week, Sony managed to wrap up the PlayStation State of Play series with a game-focused episode from a Japanese developer. Now the PlayStation State of Play will return to live streaming scheduled for this week. This episode will focus on highlighting Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy was developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games, streaming will last for 20 minutes, just like previous PlayStation of Play episodes. During later streaming, it will feature more than 14 Hogwarts Legacy gameplay recorded on PS5.

You can watch the PlayStation of Play series episodes of Hogwarts Legacy on March 17, at 2 p.m. PT or 5 p.m. ET, and/or on Thursday, March 18 at 05:00 WIB.

Once the gameplay is shown, the stream will conclude with some insights from some of the team members at Avalanche Software. Set in the same school that was famous in the Harry Potter books and films, the game is an open world experience where you either fight wizards or become a wizard yourself after enrolling in a wizarding academy during the 1800s.

This has certainly not been an easy path for game development so far, as Harry Potter creator and writer JK Rowling has been embroiled in controversy surrounding comments deemed transphobic.

After it was speculated that Hogwarts Legacy would be delayed until 2023, it was announced that the game was still on track for a 2022 release and Rowling was "not involved" with the project. Rowling will still receive a cut of the profits from the sale of Hogwarts Legacy, as she receives royalties from the Wizarding World IP as a whole.

Besides Hogwarts Legacy which will be out this year, Gotham Knights, is another game published by Warner Bros. Games, will also be released in 2022, and will be out of the shadows on October 25.
