Ukraine Calls, Elon Musk Immediately Activates Starlink Internet Network

JAKARTA – The world's richest man and US crypto supporter, Elon Musk recently activated his Starlink satellite-based internet. It is aimed at providing Ukrainian citizens with internet access.

Since the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, the internet network there has been disrupted. Luckily, Elon Musk was quick to respond and helped help with internet difficulties in Ukraine.

For information, Starlink is under the auspices of SpaceX. Starlink provides high-speed internet broadband worldwide. However, to be able to access it required installing a special antenna and modem. Elon Musk announced his Starlink activation via Twitter.

Previously, Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov used his Twitter account to talk directly to Musk. Fedorov enlists Musk's help in activating his Starlink internet.

“@elonmusk, when you try to colonize Mars — Russia tries to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets land successfully from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civilians! We ask you to provide a Starlink station to Ukraine and tell any sane Russian to stand up", Fedorov wrote on Twitter.

Unexpectedly, Elon Musk immediately responded to the tweet: "Starlink services are currently active in Ukraine." Fedorov immediately responded to this comment by saying thank you to the Tesla and SpaceX boss.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a military attack on Ukraine. Since then Russian troops have continued to enter Ukraine and have besieged major cities there.
