Raise Funds For Synagogue, Jewish Community In Moscow Launches NFT Tzedakah

Young rabbi group launches NFT (NFT Evening)

JAKARTA – The Moscow Jewish Community, Russia, has reportedly released the NFT Tzedakah which is intended for synagogue donations. The effort is being carried out by young rabbis supported by Russian chief Rabbi Berl Lazar, a mastermind behind the launch of the NFT collection.

Reporting from NFT Evening, there are 4 main NFTs that make up the NFT Tzedakah collection. Each is a 3D copy of the decorations of one of Russia's main synagogues. This is the Moscow Jewish Community Center building – a community center housing offices, classrooms, studios, and a synagogue; Aron a-Kodesh – the sacred ark that served as the repository of the Torah scrolls; Bimah – a platform where the Torah can be read; and Amud – the pulpit in front of the synagogue.

Apart from the above mentioned NFTs, there are 4 other NFTs in the collection. This is an NFT copy of the coin that was issued when the synagogue opened in 2000. Another important point is that interested individuals can purchase the NFT of these coins at a fixed price, without the need to participate in an auction.

This NFT project is a charitable initiative that supports the Jewish community in Russia. The synagogue will use the funds raised to meet the daily needs of the institution and the community. In addition to improving the lives of synagogue members, NFT Tzedakah holders will receive a certificate of their participation in the project, which is signed by the head of the Jewish Community.

Jewish communities around the world have released religious NFTs in support of several projects. Last year, Rabbi Mordechai Lightstone and Jonathan Caras launched NFTorah to raise funds for the new Sefer Torah.
