LADI And JADA Hold Virtual Meeting, Discuss Supervision Cooperation

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Anti-Doping Agency (LADI) held a virtual meeting with the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA) on Friday night to discuss the continuation of Indonesia's sanctions settlement.

The meeting which took place at 22.00 WIB was also attended by representatives of the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA), Secretary of Menpora Gatot S. Broto, and representatives of the ministry of finance.

Topics discussed included the clarity of JADA's duties and functions in supervising LADI related to the acceleration of the lifting of WADA sanctions.

It was stated in a written statement received by VOI, Saturday, that the duration of the supervision would adjust to progress in the field. The clarity of the cost of supervision and the certainty of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) were also discussed.

"As well as WADA's evaluation of LADI while under the supervision of JADA which will be related to the lifting of sanctions if it is considered to have worked effectively," said Deputy Chair of LADI, Rheza Maulana in the statement.

However, Rheza has not disclosed the results of the discussions at the meeting.
