JAKARTA – The success of the DKI Jakarta Contingent Wushu team at PON XX Papua 2021 is indeed very proud. Edgar Xavier Marvelo et al. presented 14 medals for the contingent of the Capital in the biggest sporting event in the country.

This achievement makes the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Wushu Advisory Council, Yanti Isfandiary Airlangga, proud. He even immediately gave bonuses to the medal winners, on Saturday, October 16 at Orasa's Ashta 8 Mall Jakarta Restaurant.

"I am proud of the achievements of the OKI Jakarta Wushu Team, which has donated 14 medals for the DKI Jakarta Contingent at PON XX Papua 2021. Keep fighting and achieve proud achievements not only at the national event but also at the international event," said Yanti after handing over bonuses to all members of the DKI Jakarta Wushu Team.

So far, Yanti Isfandiary Airlangga is known to be very concerned about the development of wushu athletes in DKI Jakarta. Especially in preparation for PON XX. The success of the DKI Jakarta Wushu Team in dominating the medals at XX PON is also inseparable from their attention.

The attention shown by Yanti also made Edgar Xavier Marvelo, the DKI Jakarta wushu athlete who won two gold medals at XX Papua 2021 PON, looks very happy.

"I am happy and thank you for the appreciation in the form of a bonus given by the Chair of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Advisory Council," said Edgar Xavier Marvelo.

Nandhira Mauriskha, who won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal in XX PON, also agreed. “Yes, I thank you for the bonus given. I will continue to strive to achieve even better achievements," said Rara, Nandhira's nickname.

The DKI Jakarta Wushu Team in PON XX became the overall champion by obtaining 14 medals consisting of 5 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze. This achievement is also proof that wushu is one of DKI Jakarta's leading sports in the PON event.
