Bring MU To Beat Villarreal, Ronaldo Makes Many Records In The Champions League

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo became the hero of Manchester United's dramatic victory over Villarreal in the Champions League Group F match at Old Trafford on Thursday. Not only brought his team to win 2-1, CR7 also carved many records.

Launching Antara, Villarreal scored first through Paco Alcacer before being equalized by Alex Telles' goal. Ronaldo scored the winning goal for United in the final minutes of the game.

The visitors gave a threat when the game had only been running for six minutes. Arnaut Danjuma kick towards goal can still be pushed over by David De Gea.

Villarreal almost scored in the 16th minute. Paco Alcacer fired the ball on target, but De Gea parried the ball for a corner.

United could then equalize in the 59th minute. Without controlling the ball, Alex Telles let loose which slid into the Villarreal goal after utilizing Bruno Fernandes' free kick. The position is 1-1.

Solskjaer's team continued to press Villarreal's back line to add goals. Edison Cavani almost doubled the lead with a header in the 79th minute. Unfortunately the ball still has not met the target.

In the 85th minute, Villarreal almost scored a second goal through Boulaye's header in the penalty box. However, De Gea can still thwart it.

United were finally able to take the lead thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's goal in injury time from a tight angle. The hosts closed the game with a 2-1 win.

This result brought the Red Devils up to third in Group F with 3 points from two matches. Meanwhile, Villarreal slumped to a distended position with the acquisition of 1 point.
