Believed to coach AC Milan, Janji Amorim will not repeat the mistake at Manchester United

JAKARTA - Ruben Amorim officially took on a new assignment as AC Milan Manager. Along with the introduction moment on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, he made a promise not to repeat mistakes like when he coached Manchester United (MU).

Amorim's presence at the AC Milan coach's seat is indeed to occupy the seat left by Massimiliano Allegri. With this new assignment, Amorim is determined to rebuild the Rossoneri.

Amorim assessed that experience, including failures and mistakes he had experienced, had shaped him into a more mature coach. He is also optimistic about bringing AC Milan to develop through the new project prepared by this club.

The 41-year-old coach also emphasized the main goal of building a team that plays quality football and at the same time consistently wins. According to him, the Rossoneri must dominate the match even though Serie A is known to be very competitive.

In addition to focusing on the philosophy of the game, Amorim wants to build a close relationship with the players and coaching staff. He promised to immediately learn Italian as a form of respect for the supporters and his new environment in Milan.

In the transfer market, Amorim ensured that AC Milan would continue to look for players who fit his needs. He specifically praised the quality of striker Goncalo Ramos, who had just been brought in from Paris Saint-Germain.
