Gempita Belitong 2025 Preparations Are 80 Percent, AETI Aquabike Cup Final Is Ready To Be The Peak Of National Jetski Competition

The preparation for the 2025 AETI Aquabike Indonesian Championship final is almost complete (doc. Special).

JAKARTA - Preparations for the AETI Aquabike Indonesian Championship 2025 Cup Round Final on December 5-7 continue to be accelerated and now shows progress as far as 80 percent.

Will present 24 jetski units that will compete in various classes to compete for the national title, this event is predicted to be one of the most competitive jetski tournaments of the season.

As of Thursday, December 4, 2025, at noon WIB, 16 jetski units had been completed into the paddock. Meanwhile, the paddock tent, briefing tent, and various racing support facilities are entering the final stages of completion. In the race course area, the installation of the Buoy track continues to be accelerated so that the entire track is ready to be tested at the official training session.

The initiator and General Chair of AETI, Harwendro Aditya Dewanto, assessed that the final of this season will be an important momentum for the Indonesian world of water sports.

"With the quality of participants participating in the final this year, we are optimistic that the tournament will be tight and give birth to new champions in Indonesia."

"Final Round 2025 is a stage of proof for young riders who have appeared aggressive and consistent this season," he said in an official statement on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Harwendro also emphasized that the development of aquabike in Indonesia shows a positive trend, both in terms of the number of activists and the quality of racers which continues to increase from year to year.

On the ground, a number of technical steps and risk mitigation have been implemented to ensure the race takes place safely. Rescue marshall has been placed at strategic points along the track to ensure quick handling in the event of an incident.

In addition, the Belitung BPPD rubber boat is alerted for a double incident scenario, while Water and Air Police are tasked with guarding the water perimeter of ship activities that have the potential to disrupt the course of the race. The Belitung Damkar is also deployed at five points to anticipate the risk of fire on land.

The Regent of Belitung, Djoni Alamsyah, emphasized the full support of the Regional Government for the safety and technical readiness of the race.

"In terms of security and facilities, we ensure that the racing arena is ready to be used and meet national competition standards. We want the riders to compete optimally without worrying about safety factors," he said.

The readiness of the racing venue is also ensured by the Director of SEZ Tanjung Kelayang, Daniel Alexander. You see, according to him, this event must be a safe and memorable final for the participants.

"We have prepared a completion at the Tanjung Tinggi Geosite with high standards to accommodate the riders' speed and maneuvers. We want this tournament to be a spectacular and satisfactory final for all athletes," said Daniel.

In addition to technical preparation, the committee is also preparing spectator facilities, including the VIP Tent installation and the festival area which will add to the excitement of the event. Thousands of spectators are expected to crowd the area to witness the national racers' fights firsthand.
