Persija Must Be Ready With Every Condition In The 2025/2026 Super League

Mauricio Souza emphasized that Persija is ready to pass every condition in the 2025/2026 Super League (doc. Antara).

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta will resume its journey in the 2025/2026 Super League starting Sunday, September 14, 2025. Entering the fifth week, Mauricio Souza emphasized that his team was fully prepared to look at the next match.

Nearby, they will host Bali United at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). However, the match became the last home party because they had to flee from JIS which could not be used to host matches in October 2025.

"We really like playing at JIS, even though the field is not in the best condition, the important thing is that we are adapting there."

Regarding the team's readiness, Persija since the beginning of this season has not been strengthened by their mainstay striker last season, Gustavo Almeida.

Regarding Gustavo's chances to play against Bali, Souza did not want to provide any certainty.

"Gustavo is in the process of adapting again and we are waiting until this weekend. We will see if his response is possible or not, depending on his response," said the Brazilian coach.

Currently, Rizky Ridho and Jordi have just returned to join the team after strengthening the Indonesian national team in two FIFA Match Day matches.

According to Souza, the two players were in good physical condition even though he did not want to divulge whether he planned to rotate or not.
