Orleans Masters 2025: Indonesian Representatives Remaining Rehan/Gloria

JAKARTA - Mixed doubles pair Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja are the only Indonesian representatives left at the Orleans Masters 2025.

Rehan/Gloria broke through the semifinals of the tournament level Super 300 BWF on Friday, March 7, 2025, without breaking a sweat at all above the Palais des Sports field.

In the quarter-finals, Rehan/Gloria should meet sixth seed Hoo Pang Ron/Cheng Su Yin. However, the Malaysian pair decided to withdraw ahead of the duel.

According to a News Straits Times report, the decision to withdraw from Malaysia's representative occurred because Cheng suffered an ankle injury due to slipping on the stairs after his match on Thursday.

Rehan/Gloria are one of three Indonesian representatives who managed to break into the quarter-finals of the tournament. However, the other two failed to continue their journey after being beaten by the opponent.

The two representatives whose trip was to be intercepted were the mixed doubles pair Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil and the women's doubles pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

Adnan/Indah lost against the Thai mixed doubles, Rutanapak Outphong/Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat. The pair who are ranked 55th in the world lost in two games with 11-21 and 12-21.

As for Apri/Fadia failed to stop the first seed from South Korea, Baek Ha Na/Lee So Hee. The 2021 SEA Games gold medalist gave up with a score of 18-21 and 10-21.

The semifinals of the Orleans Masters 2025 will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025. The match will start at 11.00 local time or 17.00 WIB.

Rehan/Gloria will have their first match. The pair assisted by PB Djarum will meet Lee Jong Min/Chae Yu Jung, the seventh seed from South Korea.
