Zaki Ubaidillah Wants To Immediately Contribute Title

Men's singles Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah entered the PBSI National Training (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA The men's singles Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah is determined to immediately compete at the elite Super Series level and contribute the title after he entered the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center.

The athlete who is familiarly called Ubed is included in the list of players called by PBSI on December 20, 2024. He immediately entered the main category.

"My hope is that I can immediately rise to the Super Series level and donate the title with seniors for Indonesia," he said in a statement.

Ubed has undergone a long process before entering the PBSI National Training Center. He started playing badminton since kindergarten and often took part in competitions at schools after that.

He then underwent training to Central Java, precisely at PB Rahmat, Pati, in first grade elementary school. He had moved cities before finally qualifying for PB Djarum Kudus in 2019.

Ubed admitted that he was very happy to be included in the PBSI National Training Center and was immediately in the first team with his idol in the men's singles sector, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.

"I've been in the process for a long time. I thought and thought about where I was going to play badminton. If I didn't enter the National Training Center, what would I do? Thank God, at the end of this year I was called to the National Training Center," he said.

Ubed became part of the Central Java team that won the men's team badminton gold medal at the XXI Aceh-North Aceh National Sports Week (PON) 2024 in September 2024.

He also contributed to the victory that made Indonesia win the 2024 Suhandinata Cup for a mixed team at the 2024 BWF World Junior Championships in Nanchang, China.

Another achievement of Sampang-born athlete, Madura, June 26, 2007, is the men's singles bronze medal World Junior Championships 2024 and the Indonesian Masters Super 100 2024 champion.
