Rumors Circulated, Liverpool Has Extended Mo Salah's Contract With A Salary Of IDR 10 Billion A Week

JAKARTA - Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract with fantastic fees. Rumors circulated that Salah was awarded a two-year contract with a salary of 500 thousand pounds or approximately 10 billion rupiah every week.

Salah was a puzzle because his contract will expire next year. The captain of the Egyptian national team reportedly wants to leave after the departure of manager Juergen Klopp. If his contract is not renewed, he will be free of transfer.

On the other hand, Liverpool are considering releasing Salah. The club doesn't want to release its players for free because there is no new contract for him. Moreover, the Saudi Arabian club has made an offer to Liverpool to recruit this 32-year-old player.

But Liverpool seemed to change their mind by extending Salah's contract. The reason is, he showed impressive performance under new manager Arne Slot.

The news that Salah had signed a new contract was revealed by Haytham Farouk, a former Egyptian national team player. Farouk, who is also Salah's colleague, wrote on X [former Twitter] to congratulate his colleagues. Even the club complied with Salah's request regarding the increased salary.

"Congratulations on the renewal of your contract which numbers and timeframe are in line with your expectations. The King of Egypt is in power with his own rules," said Farouk's upload on X quoted by the Mirror. He also posted a photo while with Salah.

The news is believed to be true considering Farouk is a former national team player who has a close relationship with Salah. The former defender is also a match analyst who is popular at beIN Sports. Farouk himself uploaded last December 4 or along with the match against Newcastle.

The news of Salah's contract signing was also confirmed by Jamie Carragher, a former Liverpool player who is now a football pundit. Carragher said that the signing was made on Wednesday local time or Thursday, November 5, 2024 in the morning WIB.

In a new contract, Salah receives a salary of 500 thousand pounds with a duration of two years. This means that Salah's contract value reaches 52 million pounds or approximately one trillion rupiah.

He also became the player with the highest salary in clubs and the Premier League. Currently only Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has received the same salary as Salah. However, according to information, De Bruyne will be paid a salary if his contract is extended.

There has only been no confirmation from the club or Salah regarding the news. Including Salah's salary and contract duration which reached two years.
