JAKARTA - PGMOL (British Football Referee Agency) said that the investigation into the Premier League referee, David Cotte, is still ongoing.
While conducting an investigation, UEFA on PGMOL's recommendation has suspended Coote while waiting for the results of the disciplinary process.
Cotte was initially dismissed by PGMOL on November 11, 2024 after the first video was uploaded to social media X showing the referee making comments underestimating Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.
Two days later, another video, recorded by Cotte and shared with a friend on WhatsApp, was published by The Sun.

The video was allegedly taken at a hotel designated by UEFA on July 6, 2024, a day after its last appointment at Euro 2024 as a supporting VAR for the quarter-finals between Portugal vs France.
In the video, the 42-year-old referee is seen breathing some kind of white powder.
Cotte has been suspended by UEFA in accordance with PGMO and is opening its own investigation.
"We are following the internal process and responding very seriously to allegations against David Cotte's behavior as part of a thorough investigation we are currently carrying out."
"Even though David is still suspended, his welfare remains important to us. He knows the support network he is available to," a PGMOL spokesman said on Thursday, November 21, 2024, local time.
